Cropping tool is a really important tool for designers. It will definitely help you gain attention of the contest holder if used properly.
You can use this tool for both contest submissions and creating your portfolio.
How to crop your contest submission
When submitting your contest entry, you will see a new section to appear underneath.
To crop simply drag the cropping tool’s black edges around your image until you’re satisfied with its placement. You can even see the preview of your design in the “Thumbnail preview” box on the right. It helps you see what the design will look like on the contest page.
Please follow the design standards so that your designs look best -
- Minimum size: 960 x 960px
- Maximum size: 2040 x 8160px
- Image preview dimensions would be 500px x 500px (300 DPI), don't have too much white space around your design.
- One design per submission (variations should be submitted as new designs).
- Use a transparent/white background (where possible), don't add borders around designs to the submission.
- Color mode: RGB
- File formats: PNG, GIF or JPG
- Size: less than 8MB in size
How to crop designs for your portfolio
To add a design to your portfolio please click on the green button, 'Create Portfolio' in the header. It will redirect you to the design submission page. Click on the 'Upload Design' button. A popup will open where you can upload a design.
