What are held and locked contests?

A held or locked contest is a contest where:

• the contest holder hasn’t declared a winner in over two weeks
• there’s some other issue with the contest
• there has been violation in Designhill's terms of use

When a contest is held or locked, none of the entries are visible to the contest holder.

Contest holders can resume their contest for 7 days by clicking on the resume button on their contest detail page. Once their contest has been resumed they will be able to see all the designs submitted in their contest and they would need to select a winner.

But please note if contest holders do not make a decision within the 7 day period, their contest will go back on hold.

Resume your contest by doing the following:

• Click 'Resume your contest', as shown below.  This will resume the contest for 7 days. 

Contest holder can resume 2 times in total, but after the second time their contest will be locked. To unlock your contest, please contact our friendly support team to help you move forward.
