How can I know if the file that I upload is transparent or has transparent elements?
In graphic editor software like Photoshop, all you need to do is to Turn Off the locked background layer. Click the eye icon () to do so.
If the checkered canvas appears behind the image, it means it’s transparent.
Another option is to place an image under your graphic. Can you see the background? If yes, it is transparent.
Common issues with transparent files or elements
Unfortunately, no printer can print transparent colors. It’s because the inks or dyes are concentrated. They aren’t diluted pigments.
What will happen?
The printer spreads the ink to make up the missing information. This leads to gaps (whiter base) on dark garments.
What if I need the edges of my graphic in faded form?
We recommend you to create a solid file first. After that, create a layered mask and feather the edges using a soft brush. This is the best way to get a better-looking print for a faded design.
