Pending & Duplicate Fees
When you buy an item online and make a payment, we contact your card issuer or bank to confirm whether the payment is valid. The fund is then put on hold by the bank until the authorization expires or the transaction is processed. Even in the case of a declined transaction, the hold may still be there, and you can see it in your statement as per your bank's policies.
Be assured that this is not an actual fee.
We advise you to contact your bank directly if the hold remains longer than the expected period.
American Express cardholders may get a settlement period of 5 to 10 days after an online purchase that includes both a confirmed and pending transaction amount on the statement. The pending amount disappears after the settlement period. In case of any trouble, feel free to contact the AMEX support team.
